Spay & Neuter Resources
Please note that the low-cost feline spay & neuter voucher program will be phased out beginning March 1st, 2023. We’d like to thank the many local veterinary clinics that participated in our program for over 10 years and helped to spay and neuter thousands of cats and kittens.
If you already have a scheduled appointment for surgery at one of the participating veterinary clinics, please visit our adoption center to collect the voucher that will be required at that appointment. No new vouchers will be issued after March 31st, 2023.
Requirements:
- Reside in Marion or Polk counties- must show photo ID.
- Cat is owned by you – for feral cat resources contact the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon
Voucher Cost $5.00 – expires 60 days from purchase
Cost at Vet Office: surgery only co-pay
Males $10 —- Females $15
Optional services such as vaccines, rabies, microchipping may be offered at time of service for an extra fee.
Spay/Neuter Your Kitties!
To help fight feline overpopulation, we offer spay and neuter certificates for your cat or kitten to receive a deduction on the surgery only portion of the procedure.
By law you will be charged an exam fee unless the clinic waves the fee. Extra fees may apply- most vets will treat and charge for fleas and worms if seen. This is usually in the consent form YOU will sign at time of surgery. They may also charge extra for other items like pain meds and if the cat is in heat. Please check when you schedule your appointment for all extra fees that may be charged. No one likes surprises and we know cost is important so please check with our partners to find the one that best fits your needs.
