Our Adoption Policies
Friends of Felines is committed to the well-being of each cat and kitten entrusted to our care and our adoption process is designed to select the best match for each cat or kitten and their future family.
- We do not discriminate potential adopters based on ethnicity, race, age, gender or income.
- We will require approval from your landlord or property manager before you can proceed with an adoption if you rent your residence.
- We adopt our cats & kittens into indoor only homes. If you are looking for an outdoor cat or a working cat, please let us know.
- We stand firmly against declawing of cats and kittens, declawing is the unethical and elective surgical amputation of a cat's toes.
What is Pre-Adoption?
A "pre-adoption" is performed when a cat or kitten has not been spayed or neutered yet, but a family would like to adopt them. Once the spay or neuter surgery is completed the cat or kitten can then go home with the adopter. We try our best to post photos of all of our adoptable cats online, however, there are always some young kittens in foster care that are not yet on the website.
