We want to adopt a pet! What steps should we take before making an appointment?
Thank you for considering adoption! We are excited to help you find the perfect four-legged addition to your family. As we adjust shelter operations to address COVID-19, our adoption process looks a little different right now. First, we encourage you to look at our adoptable cats online before calling our Adoptions Team. Read through their profiles and biographies to learn more about the specific pet. Consider if that pet is the right fit for your lifestyle and family. Make a short list of the animals who might be a good fit for your family.
Next, fill out the online Adoption Questionnaire located in RESOURCES under the FORMS tab.
Or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a pdf. version of the questionnaire.
Our Adoptions Team will walk you through our pre-adoption counseling and interview process, as well as address questions and help identify the best fit for your family. Then, we’ll schedule you an appointment to meet your potential furry friend. Please note that we’re expecting high call volumes during this time of change. Our team will do our best to respond to everyone within 24 hours, but we request your patience and kindness during this stressful time. We encourage you to keep trying our main shelter number 503.362.5611 to schedule an appointment. We do get a high volume of calls during the first 2 hours we are open. We are very sorry if we’re unable to answer your call immediately.

About Adoptable Cats
Please click on their name in the box below to see more information about them.
If the location section of the grid states Foster, you will need to call the shelter to give them your name and contact info so that it can be passed on to the foster parent so they can contact you to arrange a Meet and Greet with the kitty.
We rely on our foster parents to provide photos and bios, so if a photo or bio is missing, it means we don’t have one yet.
