Our Spay & Neuter Clinic surgeon will perform a physical exam on the morning of your pet's surgery to make sure your pet is safe for the procedure. If your cat is sick or has been sick, the surgeon may decide that it is not safe to do surgery that day. If that happens, we will ask you to visit a full-service veterinary hospital for care before your cat can be spayed or neutered with us. We reserve the right to refuse service to any client, for any reason.
Requests must be submitted by email to surgery@sfof.org and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Income restrictions apply, and applicants must provide proof of enrollment in a government assistance program. Financial assistance is subject to the availability of grant funding and cannot be guaranteed.
The surgery fee includes a preoperative exam with the surgeon, anesthesia and patient monitoring. The $99.00 surgery fee is collected as a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit when you schedule the appointment.
*These vaccines will require a booster vaccine given in 3-4 weeks. Kittens need vaccine boosters through 16 wks old.
Due to high demand, appointments often book several weeks in advance. If none are available online, we are fully booked. New surgery appointments open Tuesday–Friday at 9:00 AM—please check the website regularly. Like many clinics, we are very busy but remain committed to accessible, affordable care. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
